You could also make the case that we should be ahead of The Ewe, given we beat them head-to-head.

But still - Fran can now say he won 10 games AND also finished in the Top 20 in his 1st season.
We'll take it.

When I was sitting in Heinz Field emotionally numb after McCord's 17th pick six, I never would have expected a Top 20 finish at that point.

We are probably looking at 24th in the coaches poll, we will pass Colorado but basically everyone else right around us won.

You could see a way that we might be better than many teams ahead of us
You can also see that losing games to bad teams hurts.

we played VT/Cal/GT like Miami did and had a better record and beat them straight up.
by Year end I think we beat Alabama/Ill


BYU would be disappointed if we lost to them
Indiana I think we could handle most days

Boise if we just play a little run D

Tenn we get a shot next yr with a different set of players

I hear you, but McCord didn’t have that OL when he was there. And did he have Chip Kelly calling the plays? OSU didn’t know how to use Kyle in their offense. They wanted Stroud 2.0. And I bet Howard wouldn’t have done as well for us as Kyle did. We’ll see who sticks in the NFL.

Get back to back to back seasons, and we will start showing up in top 15 preseason polls, then Fran can go from there.
Get that Tennessee win to start the year, find a way to win 7 more in the regular season.
Don't have any bad loses, win your bowl game.
Then after going 9-4 against that schedule, bring in a good class, and you can get a preseason top 15.
