Final polls are out

That darn Minny game. 9-4 would have likely gotten us there.

That Rutgers game had to be one of the most disappointing losses in years. Not just because of who it was, but how it happened.

They can take their B1G money all the way to their program's permanent resting place in the basement of their divisional standings.

Northwestern

Right, that's the big one. Minny game we were never really in. Garbage time TD made that score closer, but that was our worst game of the year.

Northwestern, Cincy. Games where we missed opportunities to win.

We had Nwestern basically beat. That is why I said that game.

As frustrating as this year's Rutgers loss was, last year's was much more maddening IMHO, and it ultimately kept us out of a bowl game.

Big time. That loss was 100x more painful than this year

By the end of the year, there is no way in hell that we weren't one of the Top 40 teams in the land. We went out in fashion (6-1), with some very convincing wins over quality teams.

Polls are BS. Notre Dame #1 during the year come on. It's a beauty contest and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Considering the fact that Syracuse was ranked #42 going into the Pinstripe Bowl and beat #47 WVU in curb-stomp fashion, I'd say that's a bunch of crap.

Is there a post-bowl BCS rankings? Gotta think we'd be in the 30's there if there was.

thankyou coach Baloo! only four years and we've once again retained our lofty goal of MEDIOCRITY!

What do the fancy math using computers have us at? Also, do any of those formulas include away wins like basketball uses?

I am surprised that Ohio is ranked ahead of us.

Regardless, ere is no doubt SU was a top 35 team by the end of the season.

SU is one of the 40 best maybe 30 best

In the USA Today poll, Rutgers wasn't in the top 25 but they received 9 votes.
They weren't a terrible team but we had a better season.

Changing people's impressions of the program ain't easy.

The Coaches Poll is made up of fools (OK, guys who don't know what they are doing). Rutgers received 9 votes, #34. Considering their weak schedule and loss to VATech, they should not have received votes. Oh, well, play pansies get votes. We'll see how that plays out once playoffs are in place - not that it matters, once in the B1G, they will have to play a few real games so they will be lucky to remain at .500.

"Considering their weak schedule... "

so what .we played stoneybrook they played howard.
(2012 SOS rutger# 39 SU #44)
