Boston College is the NCAA Champion for the second time in program history. The Eagles ran through Syracuse and Northwestern in the semifinal and championship rounds, respectively, most notably overcoming a 0-6 deficit in the title game.
They finish No. 1 in the final ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll.
Kayla Martello’s five-goal performance was the offensive catalyst for the Eagles, meanwhile, Shea Dolce was the late-game hero with a kick save to seal the win in the final minute.
Syracuse, Florida, and Michigan round out the Top 5 in respective order, as Florida’s Championship Weekend run boosted them six spots.
