Final Thoughts on Syracuse vs. West Virginia

1. The kickoff return was the biggest play of the game. It gave us back momentum and put us back up 2 scores. The interception at the goal line comes in a close second.
2. We were able to control time of possession which was a huge key in this game.
3. We fnally put pressure on a quarterback. We had 4 sacks and Geno Smith was on the ground many more times than that. Chandler Jones was a HUGE prescence and its good that he is back.
4. The crowd was the biggest factor. It was loud and you could tell that the team feeds of the crowd noise, especially the defense. The atmosphere was great and people have said that it looked good on television.
5. Overall, this win gives our team confidence and we put ourselves in position to win the Big East.

Another factor is that a win like that might have shown taught some of the students that football games actually can be fun. There was a great atmosphere in the stadium on Friday night, and I sure hope that continues.
