Fine Mess tailgate video

Indeed, we started in the trolley lot, back in the day when OnTrack was on track and you could take a train to the base of Piety Hill, The train stop for the university was/is just a stone's throw from the Fine Lot.

I am fuzzy on this but my memory is that a small group of us talked about having a group tailgate shortly after this board was born. I think TexanMark, storange, Dcuse and GoSU96 were in the founding group. Maybe rrlbees too. I think Cuseregular, Consigliere, JeremyCuse, lincolncuse, orange79 and the many others that are part of the crew now joined later.

When OnTrack went off track, we just moved to the Fine Lot and started a slow but steady growth that continues to this day. Later, led by TexanMark and many others local to the areas, the tailgating expanded to road games too.

TexanMark, what do you remember?

I started attending when the tailgate was up in the far corner of the lot towards the Dome. Cuseregular used to use his Margarita grill on the regular up there. How many years ago was that?

I remember the board tailgate as being a once a year event. Think I attended a couple in the trolley lot. This is probably my fifth or sixth year as a regular in the Fine Lot.

It used to be there was an annual "official" board tailgate, but the regular crew could be found in the fine lot the rest of the time.

Yes, basically that. We started in the Trolley Lot. When On track shut down I called SU and found the Fine Lot. The Lot had lots of available spots back then (GRob teams and the Henry Lot was still a thing). Had about 15 regulars back then. We lost a few in the transistion due to the cost.

I liked the Trolley lot. Plenty of bushes against the elevated for quick relief.
