First game ever that I had to mute the sound

The only announcers I ever pay attention to anymore are Tirico, McDonough, Bilas and Raftery (sad he left ESPN). They seem to actually come up with things to say in our games that we all haven't heard about 10,000 times. I didn't have the volume turned down last night but I wasn't really paying attention to what they were saying. I had my laptop open so I could see the stats I wanted to see on there and to help me identify the Minnesota players if I needed to.

I am honestly sick of the Jimmy Dykes threads, seriously. No matter what the dude says, all the Syracuse fan/Dykes haters react like he's worst the announcer of all time... he simply isn't. Before the game it was claimed by multiple posters on this board that all he would do was talk about Kentucky, I do not think he mentioned Kentucky a single time during the game. Where are those posters admitting they were wrong? It's literally ridiculous on SU fans part. I guess haters gonna hate.

I really just rib Dykes for the humor of it on the board - I really don't have a problem with him. He is a UK/SEC homer, but at least he analyzes the game and gives some insight, in contrast to V, who just spews all game about anything BUT the game. Dykes does tend to remind me a bit of Billy Packer though, where he pinpoints one thing (last night it was Eliason) and just harps on it all night long - and it's always like he's teaching you, like you know nothing and he's enlightening you. I understand that for a Final 4 broadcast where you have many casual fans, but this is Maui in Novemember, we are all hoop junkies watching. Otherwise, big deal. Carry on...

I am a self proclaimed Jimmy Dykes hater. I said he would use the phrase "paws" too many times. He used it once, which is too many times for me. Honestly, I don't think he's a terrible announcer. He knows the game, it's just his strange way of articulating things that bothers me.
