First NET Rankings

I think something is wrong with the site you are linking.

WarrenNolan has the Syracuse RPI at #130.
TeamRankings.com also has the Syracuse RPI at #130.
Well screw those ones!

68 on KenPom. Right there with Buffalo, Richmond, and Utah. And just like them, we could be Cinderellas at the ball, too!

But it’s not losing basketball. Prevent defense doesn’t really prevent you from winning either. These are effective strategies, yet people latch onto the exceptions, even though they’re few and far between.

I’ve been following Cuse hoops since 1994 and the only game I remember where it didn’t work was against Pitt in 2007 or 2008. I know there are others, I just don’t recall the specifics. (The Butler loss in the tournament doesn’t count IMO.)
Butler absolutely counts. No reason to go into stall ball up 4 with 4:00 minutes left after finally getting the upper hand. Mostly agree with the end of game philosophy by this was one of rare instances it wasn't the time.

Ya the Colgate wont be a Quad 4 loss group is off to a bad start.

Who here called me names for saying Colgate would likely.be a quad 4 loss?

I was told that wasn't close to the worst loss in JB's career...

I was told Colgate was an NCAA tourney team...

I was told...well, you get it
I had no idea the season was over today. December Madness?

Wasn’t really stall ball IMO.

They just lost to God awful.Pitt and got blown out by St. John's.
Losing to St. John’s doesn’t hurt their profile. A win over Vermont or Monmouth cancels out the loss to Pitt.

As I said… most exciting thing imo is tracking Colgate. Got some great opportunities ahead.

What cancels out all of their other losses?

It honestly is sad to me that there is a legitimate debate on whether Colgate will end up a Q4 or Q3 loss for us and that it matters to our season outlook.

Yep, it's a bad loss either way. We never should lose to Colgate and absolutely never get blown out. Absolutely disgusting even if they end up winning the Patriot.

I think it will come down to if we win enough games and win enough Quality games as opposed to this bad loss.

Cuse!

As jncuse pointed out, it actually doesn’t matter that much. It will be 1/30th of the pie.

I’m merely pushing back on the notion that this is the worst loss in the history of western civilization. We can all agree it was a bad loss and leave it at that.

I get it, I really do. It stinks no matter what the deal is, ya know?

The idea that it's the worst loss in the history of Western Civilization is absurd. There's Napoleon in Russia, John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry... and... that's all I got. We're 3rd worst.
