Newhouse students will begin producing SU sports events for ESPN3 beginning with tonight's women's lax game.

very cool. Hope this creates greater opportunity for Newhouse kids to work with ESPN, and if/when ACC network comes into play it could be a great selling point for the school.

I think Newhouse already has a pretty good pipeline to ESPN. This just adds to it.

Other schools around the country are doing in-house broadcasts via ESPN3. Not sure if any are doing students only though.

This is all pretty much the same thing. Students are producing the programming with assistance from the university productions, etc,

It's an Internet feed and it costs ESPN next to nothing.
