Take a page out of the 1987 Cuse/Penn State game in the Dome and fake the freeze option, step back and unlease an 80 yd TD pass to either Ish, Estime or Broyld.
Great to have a full cast of WR's ready for this game...

I'm sending a text to the coaching staff as we speak so we can be prepared.

Let's hope it doesn't start off like the beginning of the Minnesota game in Marrone's first game as HC...

Oofa, Ryan Bartholomew's first game at C I believe. The dome was electric that day too. Paulus's interception in overtime sucked as I thought we were going to come out with a W. Eric Decker was very impressive. I think Paulus hit Williams for like a 30-yarder on a play fake where Mike was left with nobody within 15 yards of him.

Even though it was a loss, I know I left that day feeling like a new day had dawned. We were playing inspired, aggressive football and competing for the first time in awhile.

When we run the opening kick back for a TD, wouldn't that be our first play? ;)

After that play, I looked straight up, because I swear I could hear the teflon deflating.

Then I looked down and saw the vomit in the student section below us. For once, the vomit wasn't from anyone in my group.

I think they should give us 7 points if one of our kickoff returns makes it outside our own 20.
All that Erv needs to do is get passed the 11 guys waiting for him on the 15 and he will score easy. =)

That whole thing is a mess. Blocking is bad, Erv's first move always seems to be directly into someone waiting to take his head off. We just need to keep facing kickers who can put the ball in the end zone. That's our best bet.

This was exactly what I was thinking when I read the title of the thread. I will never forget being at that game and the opening play.. Btw, if the ball hadn't been bobbled in the end zone on the kickoff, that play may have never happened?!

Jet sweep with Gulley

The one where the center hands the ball to AJ nonchalantly and he walks through the line toward an official yelling, "This is the wrong ball," until he's in the clear and then goes all the way for a touchdown.

I say we tackle Stoudt. He doesn't even need to be on the field. He can be in the locker room. Just put a spy on him and hit him every time the whistle blows.

May I put in a request for a slow developing hand off to the tailback straight up the middle?

That double reverse thing.

I have high hopes for this game but its at there barn (literally), so Im hoping we finish in the redzone.

im hoping we start in the redzone as there would be less yards needed for tds

I'd hate to see the team start off the game with negative yards related to penalties and 3 points from a 41 yard FG.

I never understood why they abandoned that. You can't do it too frequently but once or twice a season was nice. You catch them cold and even if the pass is incomplete, you immediately give them something to think about.

Remember when we did it to Pittsburgh and then they did it to us. Heck of a way to start a game!
