BTW, so sorry you have to deal with UK fans 24/7...cat pause is horrendous.

Welcome aboard, senore...glad you finally found us! ;)

Seconded. You guys know this dude has like 60000 posts on scout right?

Don't be a stranger Senore. Classy fan from a classy fanbase.

Get out of here with that smack talk. :D

As long as there is one here, let me note that I'm surprised there hasn't been more grousing from Card fans about the NBA continuation that Fab was gifted in the 2nd half. Should have been two shots; instead ended up being a 3 point play. That could have been the difference in the ball game right there.

There were several plays that each team was gifted, so you can't look at that one play in particular. One of the Cardinal players touched the ball while it was hanging on the rim & half of it was over the cylinder, & it tipped in for the score. That should have been an offensive goaltending, but was ignored.

Agreed...also thought we got fouled on a 3 (not called) and the one they called against us look like an anticipatory whistle. Overall it was a typical BE officiated game but the calls looked approximately equal to me.

I think it would have been a one & one if called properly. The foul occured on the floor rather than the act of shooting.

One other thing...
looks to me like Behanan (sp?) is going to be an absolute stud. He's already a great rebounder and just gets off his feet so quickly and finishes well - once he develops his offensive game a little more, look out. Haven't seen enough of Blackshear yet, but from all accounts he'll be the real deal once fully healthy and the rust shaken off.
Concur 100% I had a writeup on him before the game. He is the one guy on your team that I would take, if I could only snatch one.

Behannan is a beast down there...he has great upside, and I think someone compared him to Blair last night...not far off
Blair is his role model. Behannan stated in an article that he goes after the ball like it's money just like Blair stated he did.

He compared himself to Blair, sort of/kind of, by saying a mantra Blair gave him is his driving force , "Pretend the ball is money,. real cash money, and go and get it!"
Fantasy time here, could you imagine Behannan with us , and having KJo, CJ and him in a 3 man rotation. Not to sound greedy, because 26-1 is a "red one" short of perfect. but he is the type of player we need to be a Perfect team.
I responded before I saw this. I'd love for SU to add a kid like this. Maybe if we lose two to the draft maybe we get involved with Mohamed

Tell you the truth, I am sure that the majority of those plays get called wrong , mainly because it is a tough call.

Heck, even UL fans realize Jim Burr was reffing. Why ask why? is the point. His mysteries make the Big East what it is. He gives and takes like a drunk 2 buck whore.
In the last 2 years I have come to have a different view on Burr and Higgins. It used to be that when I saw them, I immediately thought it gave 10 pts to our opponent. Upon closer review I realize they are unbiased in their ineptness. Everyone shares in it. I did a Google search of random terms to see if other College Basketball fans have similar stories to what we saw during the Louisville-SU game, and there is tons of data. Pitt, WVU, Texas (twice), SJU, Rutgers, Michigan St have all been screwed by Burr. Texas got KO'ed from the tournament due to him and also lost to UConn in the other.
That being said, one bit of crooked refereeing I always heard whispers about had to do with the NCAA tournament. Rumour had it that whenever the chattering class start talking about Bubble Team, Big East bubble teams most always get the wins they need to get off the bubble. I first heard this 10 years ago and it holds kind of true. Though it did not help Syracuse in 2001-02.

I completely agree that the continuation call was a lousy one, but I remember just hyperventilating in front of my TV that that foul was intentional. I thought Fab was grabbed without a play being made for the ball.

Granted, I haven't seen a replay on that particular play and may be off the mark.

Thought same thing. Replay showed it was on the floor and borderline intentional. No attempt at ball.
