SEC - 12
ACC - 7
PAC 12 - 5
Big 12 - 3
Independent - 2
AAC - 1
B1G - 1
MAC - 1

This is based on next fall's conference configurations.

Some nice company the big bad B1G is keeping.

It's not unusual for the ACC to have the second most 1st round draft picks. Talent hasn't been the ACC's problem, imho. It's been coaching.

Cheers,
Neil

Alabama is a machine but interesting breakdown of the schools that had more than one 1st rounder this year:
3 - Alabama*
2 - LSU
2 - Florida
2 - UGA
2 - UNC
3 - FSU
2 - Oregon

* Alabama - 4 first rounders in 2012, 4 first rounders in 2011, 2 -2010, 1 - 2009

Edit: doh, thx CuseLegacy...

Actually there were three from FSU..16,24 & 25.

For about the past 10 years ACC has led in players drafted in the first two rounds and is second in overall draft picks by a large margin over third place. A side note is the ACC as led in pro bowl selections for about 6 straight years.

And one of those B1G picks should not have been in the 1st round.
