Right now OX is showing 107 guys that are rostered. Need to remove two just to get to the roster cap. Then need to find another 10-15 for transfers.

I’m going to look unit by unit and try to guess what might happen.

DL 15 currently on the roster. Sr-1, Hastings. Jr-2, David O, Perry.

So -3, Ogbebor 6-6, 300; Nyandoro 6-6, 270, Thompson 6-3, 235. All three 25 freshmen that played enough to lose a redshirt.

RSFr -4 Prey 6-6, 270; Gillians 6-5, 290, Thomas 6-2, 330; Crawford 6-4, 285.

Fr - Wilson, Houston, Frazier, Haskell, Rodgers.

Other than Hastings who are you potentially asking to leave? Maybe Fran knows that some of the redshirts aren’t good enough to ever play here.

There just isn’t room at DL for more than 2 transfers in my opinion, and if you are adding they need to be clear upgrade starters.

LB 12 currently on the roster. Sr- 2 McDonald, Bryant. 5- Jr Tremble, Heard, CBrown, Lesaine, ZMG 1 -So Deslauriers, Diggs. RFr -1 Dudley. 2 Fr Medley, Sackie.

I guess ZMG, Dudley, Diggs, Heard, Brown, and could be candidates to cut loose on the surface.

DB - 19 on the roster. Sr-4 Perry and Martin, Washington, Delaine. Jr - 3 Long, Kerr, Peal. 5- So - Samuel, McDaniels, Haile, Singleton, Andrews . RSF - 2 Bredell, Lawerence. Fr - 5 Muhammad, Geter, Hairston-Taylor, Hughes, Stokes.

If Washington, Delaine, Perry, Martin, McDaniels, and Haile aren’t starter level talent is there opportunity to free up some spots?

You don’t need 19 DBs.

I was thinking the over under was 15. After looking at the roster I’m thinking 20. I know it seems like a lot but need to upgrade certain positions.
Would not be surprised if all qbs left but Angeili (sp). James just entered the portal. Hart may leave. I suspect at least 3 wr. No te. 3-5 OL leaving. Maybe 1 DL. 2 LB and 4 to 5 DB.

With the way we need linebackers It’s hard to cut any linebacker right now imo. At least any true sophomore frosh or younger right now. This new DC is going to want to see how these players look. I’m not sure what the optimum defensive back depth chart looks like but you’re probably talking at least 12 kids between cornerbacks and safeties.

Qb - Jr-2, Angeli, Collins. So-1 Williams, RFr-2 Carney, Belin, Fr -1 Lott. Collins and Williams are obvious. Don’t know what the whole story is with Carney. Not sure you need to rush him out the door.

Rb - 8. Sr - 1 Nixon. Jr - 2 Willis, Hart. So-3 Hill, Kerr, James. RSF - 1 Coleman. Fr -1 Anderson. James is already in, I had him at the top of the to go list with the qbs. Is Nixon really coming back? Is Hart happy at being likely 3rd back no matter who else is at the position?

WR - 16 Sr - 3 Gill, Cook, Merriweather. Jr -2 Ross, TRussell. So-5 Hornsby, Johnson, Williams, Thomas, Daniels. RSF-2 Wilfong, McFadden. Fr-4 Russell, Gough, Henriquez, Garrett. You don’t need 16 WRs

TE - 5. Sr -1 Clement, So - 2 Washington Baker, Bacheyie, RSF -1 Bowman. Fr -1 Bashir. I don’t think a change needs to be made here.

OL - 19 I’m not going to list all 19, Think Shevchanko, Brown-Miller, and Rice are likely to go. Cruz, Mack, Miller, Bertrand are the only upperclassmen.

If the LBers are not making the cut you have to cut them IF you can get an upgrade but yes can't jsut cut them with no plan.

If guys aren’t projected to be in the two deep as Sr, Jr, or RSSophs, you need to put them at the top of the to go board.

I don't have info but it seems that it has to do with why Miles White was dismissed.
