Restraint of trade? In high school??I’m not arguing it’s fair that private schools recruit players, I’m saying not allowing players to better themselves is restraint of trade. It simple I have no clue I was just asking questions. Sorry my point of view differs from yours. I guess CBA should only play other private schools. Who might they be?
Sorry didn’t want to start a fight. Said I was a newbie. What about when BVille was killing everyone in football for years. How about west hill hoops. CBA is a small private school. Who would you have them play? Anyone can go to CBA. If you live in Liverpool or BVille CND you go to those schools or a private school.member: 338"]
Did you read the article? "Play better" can only go so far if one team is cherry-picking the best players from the region since they are private, but traditional public schools are "stuck" with the people living in their districts - minus the best players who were cherry-picked by the private school.
Related to an extent but not. When I moved out to the Utica area, strong academics and strong athletics is why I chose to move to New Hartford for my kids. They have an advantage in being able to recruit but a disadvantage in having tuition. And the recruiting attraction is academics. Parents want their kid to have the best education.
Where I live, parochial schools often have scholarships for families who can't afford the tuition. They have an advantage in being able to recruit but a disadvantage in having tuition. And the recruiting attraction is academics. Parents want their kid to have the best education.
Don't they have the advantage of offering scholarships, negating their disadvantage? They have an advantage in being able to recruit but a disadvantage in having tuition. And the recruiting attraction is academics. Parents want their kid to have the best education.
Some kids, yes. Not necessarily full scholarshipsWhere I live, parochial schools often have scholarships for families who can't afford the tuition.
Public schools have no tuition so CBA offering some tuition discounts is not an “advantage “. Overall, tuition is a disadvantage. The education and network CBA has is an advantage.Don't they have the advantage of offering scholarships, negating their disadvantage?

I think they call them "lady boys" but maybe I'm getting my websites mixed up.Do they still refer to the women's teams as the Lady Brothers?
I suppose, then, all those public schools are overreacting.Public schools have no tuition so CBA offering some tuition discounts is not an “advantage “. Overall, tuition is a disadvantage. The education and network CBA has is an advantage.
How about let all public schools recruit from other districts and charge tuition for those recruits.I suppose, then, all those public schools are overreacting.
