Flagrant One Calls

Ageed. Missed the ball got the arms made sure he couldn't get the shot off. Foul yes but nothing more than a good foul in that situation.

Not really sure what's going on, but I've seen more of these called in the last two days than I've seen called all season. I just hope it doesn't screw some team over.

really? thats the problem with basketball in general today.. people want hard fouls instead of basketball plays. they had to add a special rule because of so many hard fouls and people want less calls? how can we complain about playing teams like pitt/gtown/marq/cinci that play physical bball in a way it was never intended to be played and then dont want flagrant fouls called. play the ball not the Opp and so many of the calls would never have to be made.. the sport is being ruined by fball plays being made on the court.

No one said it wasn't a foul. However it is NOT a flagrant foul. I haven't seen 1 'real' flagrant foul the past couple days. Just basketball plays and an accidental face slap.

I've seen more flagrant one calls in these past 3 days then in the entire BE season! I personally think it if it looks like an incidental elbow...play on!

Same call has been made entire year. Its not even a judment call - elbow to head (even incidental) will be called as a F1 100% of time.

Correct call. Stupid rule.

The calls encourage thug defense more often than condemn it. When a ball handler picks up his dribble he has no way to clear out space if the defender just sticks his head into their face or chest. Happened to BT on Thursday, and just happened in the Marquette game.
