It would be interesting to know if the outcome would have been the same if we were talking about, say, Wake.
You're not flying to your destination in HS playoffs. You're not having to gather your team from around the country in HS playoffs."Too late" is BS. High School teams are ruled ineligible during playoffs, sometimes within a couple days of their game and they find a way to substitute the next team. And there's just as much logistics issues in HS playoffs as there is in a bowl game.

This news came out December 21st.Assuming the players are home for the holidays you have a point, otherwise, flying is no different than busing. Charter flights are easy to grab.
Everyone's home for the holidays. Additionally, WMU has several players prepping for post-season games (e.g. Shriner's or Senior Bowl). No way could they get it together in time to go. Besides, think WMU would be in the same boat as FSU in that they played an FCS team that is under the 90% threshold mentioned in the reddit article.Assuming the players are home for the holidays you have a point, otherwise, flying is no different than busing. Think they set a record for bowl appearances, but NOT bowl eligibility. Really, though, a distinction without a difference.and thus they get to set a record for consecutive bowl games. does it get an asterisk now?
If you have to go through this much to prove your win against Delaware St counted, haven't you kind of lost already?
