Haven't been this excited about the start of a season -- or more bully on a team's prospects -- in quite some time.

Lots of question marks, but the offense returning so many key players should make us formidable right from the jump.

Hope we can avoid key injuries in camp [for once], and that the OL gels. If those two things happen, this could be a special season.

Can't wait for things to kick off!

Let's Go Orange!!!

Any ideas for preseason podcasts to listen to?

I used to love Nunes when John and Dan hosted it but the new guys are… not great. (I feel like I’m listening to a conversation between highschool friends but I only met them last week)

LockedOn is okay but i feel like the daily requirement for them causes swim needlessly H0T Takes to be debated for most the episode.

Syracuse.com has done some good ones but they’re seemingly infrequent? But maybe I just missed them.

I usually listen to The Juice Cuse or Disloyal Idiots podcasts on Google Podcasts. They are both pretty good but also talk about other SU stuff during the off-season (ie: TBT, Recruiting, etc...)

I think Locked on Syracuse shut down for a month or so before finally posting a new podcast this morning.

I hear the staff is bringing in bacta tanks like they put Luke Skywalker in after he fought the wampa. They are particularly good for lower body injuries, turfburns, and "owies".

I honestly think you and I could do that podcast and be better. But love the passion they try to bring.

I’ve given Locked On several chances and I just can’t deal with how negative they are. McCallister’s was pretty good but hasn’t posted in months. I’ll check out the couple suggested above.

Losing Geer after Spring ball was a huge blow and not to mention our 2 all league DB’s that left for what they thought were greener pastures but i don’t see either currently starting. We will be tested in that area with some of these QB’s on our schedule like Maye, and Travis. Here is where i hope Rocky Long can help the defense hold up and doesn’t cost us any wins, and hopefully sneaks one out we currently aren’t expected to take.

Offensively, i think we have the chance to be really really good. i think the IOL is solid and we’re solid at LT with Cruz. LA may not be the threat on the ground that Tucker was, but his overall game will give us a boost where we need it and that’s another reliable option through the air. Let’s knock on wood and hope for a healthy season from OG. Our last 3 draft eligible stars either tore an ACL (Cisco , Williams) or played the season banged up (Tucker). We need a healthy Shrader, OG, Jones, Allen and this offense has potential.

We have surprisingly been getting some love in pre season publications. We face a tough league schedule drawing both Clemson and UNC outside our pod which consists of FSU and Pitt. There are 4 tough games right there. We do get lucky playing at a Purdue team who lost a lot , including their coaching staff. That’s a very winnable game and then we just need to take care of business vs Army and WMU. 7-8 wins should be what to shoot for with this roster vs schedule.
