For anyone looking to pick up Duke tickets today

I have never understood why many people, outside of this board, aren't just excited to see the new team and help greet the kids who the staff worked so hard to recruit.

I consider myself pretty good at speculating reasons for all things attendance-related. This is not one of them.

Given our top attendance number each season, you've got to think there are at least 32,000 people in Central New York who want to pay a lot of money to go see an SU game. Why there isn't any urgency from that same group to go catch the first look at the team (including, likely, a deeper roster, some excitement on offense, and a cheaper ticket) is totally a mystery to me. Set the tone for the year, show the recruits that the reputation for huge crowds isn't a myth.

Seems that 30,000 for a weekend opener with the discounted non-conference ticket price should be automatic.

Wouldn't be surprised if we pushed 30K for Duke, UNC, Indiana, Pitt, Miami, Nova , Clemson or NC state. I am not saying we will for all of them, but the schedule is very fan friendly this year. All of those games besides Indiana and Clemson are on Saturday. The Clemson game is on Sunday, and they already were only selling in section 317 yesterday to Alumni for the Indiana game.

For some of those, sure. But Miami, Clemson, NC St...?

there is a ton of hate for the program in the area.. so many people really dont like JB or the team.

Actually from my experience its the exact opposite, the area mostly enjoys/likes the bball team, its the football team where there is a ton of anti hometown bias, way more then bball.
