No game for the Orange may have greater importance this season than the one that they will play Wednesday night at the Carrier Dome against Duke.

Syracuse is 8-7 in ACC play following Sunday night’s loss against Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and given its non-conference losses to St. John’s, UConn, and Georgetown, it’s beyond imperative that the Orange get to 10 conference wins if they hope to play in the NCAA Tournament.

Following Wednesday’s tilt with the Blue Devils, the Orange will head to Louisville on Sunday (2 PM ET, CBS) and then close out the season at home against Georgia Tech.

Jim Boeheim’s squad needs to win two of these next three games to feel good about itself heading into the ACC Tournament and with the way this team has played on the road this season, there’s a much better chance of beating Duke at the Carrier Dome than there is beating the Cardinals at the KFC Yum Center.[/I]
