In the United States, Tax Day is a colloquial term for the day on which individual income tax returns are due to the federal government.[1] The term may also refer to the same day for states, even where the tax return due date is a different day.
Federal income tax was introduced with the Revenue Act of 1861 to help fund the Civil War, and subsequently repealed, re-adopted, and held unconstitutional. The early taxes were based on assessments, not voluntary tax returns. Tax payment dates varied by act.[7]

Please Jordan Tucker, bring your talents to the Carrier Dome and help this team redeem themselves and shock the nation. Syracuse basketball is as historic as it gets, and you can help cement your name in its history.
Tucker is a four-star recruit who ranks 40th in ESPN 100’s recruiting class for 2017. He’s a 6’7” forward with a dynamic skillset and the ability to change a team’s plans for a season. His ability to score from the perimeter and at the rim is just what coach Jim Boeheim is looking for in a wing player.
If Tucker decided to play for the Orange next season he’d be filling a role that Syracuse lacks—small forward. The Orange are losing their starting small forward in Andrew White III who led the team in scoring last year.
Matthew Moyer who red shirted last season is the projected starting small forward for Boeheim next season, but that could all change if Tucker came into the equation. Sure Moyer is an exciting prospect, but we don’t know much about his ability to handle the college game.
The same could be said about Tucker, but imagine having both Tucker and Moyer attacking defenses from the wing—that would be scary. The Orange are losing a lot of their depth next season, so adding Tucker to the roster will likely help Boeheim sleep peacefully before tip off.
So how would Tucker fit with Tyus Battle you may ask. Well, the answer is pretty well. Both players have the ability to attack the rim which would make the Syracuse offense as dynamic as it gets.

Fifty years ago, a runner officially entered as K.V. Switzer participated in the Boston Marathon. On Monday, she did it again at age 70.
Kathrine Switzer’s marathon in 1967 became historic because she was the first woman to complete the all-male race as an official entrant — her registration as “K.V. Switzer” hid her gender. The race resonated far beyond a footnote in the record books when an official tried to force her from the course after a few miles.
“The marathon was a man’s race in those days; women were considered too fragile to run it,” she wrote in an essay for The New York Times 10 years ago. “But I had trained hard and was confident of my strength. Still, it took a body block from my boyfriend to knock the official off the course.” Switzer recovered to finish in 4 hours 20 minutes.
Switzer completed this year’s race only a little slower, in 4:44:31.
Women were finally officially allowed to enter the race in 1972.
Women’s marathoning has come a long way, joining the Olympics in 1984 and gaining popularity through runners like Grete Waitz. More than half of marathon runners in the United States are women.
