Welcome to Ballet Day!

There’s something magical about going to ballet. The music, the outfits, the utter passion of the dance as the ballet artists lose themselves to the performance, all of it comes together to create a beautiful, otherworldly experience for those in attendance. There is an almost magical power in their graceful movements across the stage, like flower petals on a stiffening breeze. Ballet Day encourages you to get out and see the ballet again, or for the first time if you haven’t already.

Syracuse Basketball: Hopefully, ‘Ville Victory Is A Season-Shifting Success (itlh.com; Adler)

The Syracuse basketball squad notched its most-impressive win of the 2017-18 campaign, squeaking past Louisville on the road.

I honestly can’t figure out this team.

The SU hoops outfit, coming off two disastrous scoring performances in a row, headed to Louisville on Monday night to face a Cardinals crew that is usually one of the top defensive units in the country.

After collecting a combined 95 points in its previous pair of contests, I thought that the Orange likely would produce another paltry offensive output against Louisville.

Nope.

The ‘Cuse shot lights out and gritted its way to a 78-73 triumph, giving our boys a pivotal Atlantic Coast Conference conquest away from the Carrier Dome.

This duel proved evenly matched in virtually every statistical category. The key difference is that Syracuse (16-8, 5-6) connected on 46 percent from beyond the arc, while the Cardinals (16-8, 6-5) managed just 24 percent there.

ACC Roundup - One Game, Two Brilliant Performances (dukebasketballreport.com; King)

In ACC play Tuesday night, wow! BC’s Jerome Robinson went off for 46 in a losing effort as Notre Dame prevailed at home, 96-85.

Robinson’s monster night somewhat overshadowed a brilliant performance by Notre Dame’s TJ Gibbs, who had 28 on 8-11 overall, 5-7 from deep and 7-7 from the free throw line. He also had five rebounds and three assists.

Matt Farrell had 19 points and seven assists, and Martinas Geben stepped up with 16 points and 11 boards.

It’s hard to get past Robinson’s stunning game though. He shot 15-23 overall, 7-12 from the bonusphere and 9-9 from the line.

Both guys had monster games but Notre Dame got the win and stopped a seven-game, post Bonzie Wells injury skid.

Both teams are 14-10 and both teams are also 4-7 in the ACC.

Here’s how to hack into Chick-fil-A’s healthy menu ahead of its grand opening in Cicero (DO;
Lucero)

Chick-fil-A is making its central New York debut this month in Cicero. But have no fear: Whether it’s a staple from home or your first time hearing of the chain, you can still maintain a healthy figure while downing those chicken nuggets.

To compete with full service restaurants and organic cafes, fast-food chains are serving healthier food options by revamping menus and making alterations to classic recipes. Starting Feb. 22 at the Chick-fil-A opening on Brewerton Road, students can snag protein-packed menu items after a workout, including the egg white grill, grilled market salad and the grilled chicken sandwich.

For breakfast, you can find the individually packaged egg white grill, which is tasty, low-carb and low-calorie. It’s also easy to customize the sandwich by picking your preferred bread and cheese options. Remember, only you know how to make your favorite healthy Chick-fil-A sandwich.
