Villanova: Wagner head strength coach Brian Tracz has accepted the head football strength job at Villanova. Tracz spent three years at Wagner.
Wagner (NY): Per source, Marshall head basketball strength coach Joe Varga has accepted the head strength job at Wagner for all sports, including football. Varga has been at Marshall since 2011.
Bucknell: Former Cornell wide receivers coach Bobby Acosta has joined the Bucknell staff. Acosta spent 2016 at Cornell and previously worked at Syracuse.
Georgia: Former Minnesota offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Jay Johnson will join Georgia as an analyst, according to 247Sports. Johnson spent 2016 at Minnesota after five years at Louisiana-Lafayette.

If you're a long-time Syracuse football fan, a jersey worn by former Orange legend Ernie Davis would be a perfect addition to your wardrobe.
But you've got to be able to spare at least $5,000.
Leland's has put that item up for bid in one of its current auctions. The starting asking price is $5,000.
There are a few other items for sale as well. A football autographed by the 1959-60 Orange after a win over Pittsburgh carries an opening bid of $1,500.
A 1959-60 national champion Cotton Bowl gold charm bracelet & watch presented to team captain Dave Appelhof will start at $1,000.
A handwritten letter by former Syracuse coach Ben Schwartzwalder starts at $200.

The last time the ACC had the chance to cash in on the value of its media rights – the sale of football and basketball games involving conference members to the highest bidding television network – was 2010. The league had never been weaker.

At that time, Virginia Tech was the league’s flag bearer finishing ranked inside the top 10 four times between 2004 and 2009.
ESPN and the ACC agreed to a 12-year deal which would see each school receive roughly $13 million per year from the cable company, a handsome sum, but well below what the Big Ten was receiving and what the SEC would be receiving from its combined ESPN and CBS contracts, plus revenue anticipated from the SEC Network launch in 2014.
Timing is everything.
The next time the ACC will have the chance to cash in on the value of its media rights in late 2018 and early 2019 when the league, in conjunction with ESPN, will begin offering the ACC Network to distributors. The league has never been stronger.
Florida State is once again a perennial national power under Jimbo Fisher having finished ranked inside the top 10 four of the past five seasons. The Seminoles have beaten Florida six of the last seven years and as further evidence of the ACC’s increasing stature, Fisher has reportedly turned down overtures from LSU in each of the past two seasons to coach the Tigers.
Clemson is the national champion, having finished ranked inside the top 10 three of the past four seasons with no signs of slowing down.
A more competitive Louisville program has replaced Maryland. Excitement at Miami under Mark Richt and Virginia Tech under Justin Fuente is high. Very importantly, ACC teams now play five games annually against huge TV draw Notre Dame. The ACC turned in the best bowl record of any conference for 2016 and has stood toe-to-toe versus the SEC on the field across all games and teams for the past three seasons.

Another shot of warm weather this week for Central New York (PS; Montreuil)
Central New York will experience more above normal temperatures this week before March comes in like a lion on Wednesday and cooler air returns for the end of the week.
The first half of the week will see a steady warming trend across Central New York as high pressure situates itself off the Mid-Atlantic Coast and another active storm track sets up across the middle of the county.
This pattern has already put Central New York back into the southerly flow of warmer air and temperatures rose overnight as a result.
High temperatures today, Monday, will push towards 50 degrees in Syracuse with mid and upper 40s in outlying areas. Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds, but no precipitation is expected.
Temperatures will fall back into the 30s tonight, but again will rise slightly towards dawn as another wave of warmer air aloft works in. This push of warmer air will set off a little light precipitation, which will most likely fall as rain with temperatures in the mid and upper 30s.
