Henninger's KJ White Forces CBA's Andre Dowdell to Fumble
Jake Brotzki and CBA Fall to Henninger in Carrier Dome Sauna (PS; Weidner)
In a boiling Carrier Dome, Henninger overcame the elements and Christian Brothers Academy tonight in the opening game of the Kickoff Classic.
The Black Knights intercepted three CBA passes and recovered a Brothers fumble to win, 20-13, in a rematch of last season's Class AA sectional championship game.
Henninger quarterback Romero Collier threw for one touchdown and ran for another. The senior overcame leg cramps to lead a fourth-quarter TD drive that provided the winning points for the Knights, who open 1-0.
CBA (0-1) suffered its first loss to a Section III team since 2011, when the Brothers lost to West Genesee in the sectional title game.

ACC Night in Review: James Connor, Tyler Boyd Too Much for Boston College (PS; Stevens)
There appears to be nothing complicated about Pittsburgh's offensive identity this season.
Get the ball to James Conner and Tyler Boyd, and figure good things will happen.
Such was the case in Friday's 30-20 defeat of Boston College. Conner rushed for 213 yards and a touchdown. Boyd had five receptions for 72 yards and two scores. And the Panthers (2-0, 1-0 ACC) firmly controlled almost the entire final three quarters in their conference opener.
Between them Conner and Boyd either touched the ball or were targeted 46 times during Pittsburgh's 70 offensive snaps. And that actually seemed like a low total.
Boyd is the obvious centerpiece of a passing game that has secondary options in Manasseh Garner and J.P. Holtz. Conner, who bowled over linebackers over and over against Boston College, is no longer part of a backfield timeshare; his 35 rushes was the most for a Panther since Dion Lewis had 42 carries against Cincinnati in Dave Wannstedt's swan song in 2010 and the first time since then a Pitt rusher had more than 30 rushing attempts.
