Penn Manor center and long snapper Matt Keller learned recently he had been selected as one of two long snappers in the Under Armour All-American game in Tampa, Florida, next January.
The Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star's road to the national game, however, has been anything but a snap.
Since 2012, Keller has been involved in nine camps, ranging from Manheim in 2012 and '13 to Eastern Showcase Camps in Pittsburgh and New Jersey to National Invitational Scholarships Camps and National Underclassmen Challenges.

Keller, who stands at 6 feet and weighs 225 pounds, becomes the Orange's 25th verbal commitment in the Class of 2015, counting 2014 holdover cornerbacks Lamar Dawson and Treevon Prater. His only offer was from the Orange, though North Carolina, Louisville and Texas Tech were all showing interest.
Keller will enroll in January and said he expects to compete for the starting job next season. With SU senior long snapper Sam Rodgers set to graduate, the Orange will also return walk-on redshirt sophomore Keith Mitsuuchi and walk-on true freshman Nathan Hines at the position.

Brindlee Mountain (Guntersville, Ala.) High School senior defensive tackle Steven Clark left Syracuse on Sunday with a clear leader in his recruitment.
The 6-foot-3, 290-pound raved about his official visit on Sunday night, and said it put the Orange on top with a visit from the Minnesota coaching staff expected early this week.
"The visit was awesome," Clark said. "The coaches and players treated me and my family great. They put on a show for us. It was amazing. It definitely affected my recruitment.

SU Football Commits Dunkelberger and Keller Recap Official Visit Weekend (PS; Bailey)
Syracuse's big official visit weekend has already yielded one verbal commitment in Penn Manor (Millersville, Pa.) High School long snapper Matt Keller. With 13 other visitors, including nine who remain uncommitted, it's very possible that it leads to more.
On Sunday, Keller and fellow Orange commit tight end Trey Dunkelberger recapped the visit. The weekend schedule included a trip to Dave & Buster's Friday night, Syracuse jerseys wrapped as presents under the Christmas tree Saturday afternoon and tickets to the Orange's basketball game against St. John's Saturday night.
The most notable football-related highlight was likely a walk across the field of the program's $13 million indoor practice facility, which is expected to open next week.
