Is SU OC George McDonald Headed to Florida? (chatsports.com; Cassillo)

Let me start by stating that this is ALL rumor at the moment, and absolutely nothing is confirmed. However, the Gator Fanatic and Fox Sports' In All Kinds of Weather (Florida blog) have been mentioning the possibility that Syracuse's George McDonald could be headed to the University of Florida to take over as wide receivers coach. Obviously this would be less than surprising for Orange fans after McDonald's mid-season demotion, but still, it could have some ripple effects for SU football -- especially in terms of its 2015 recruiting class.

As new Florida head coach Jim McElwain builds out his coaching staff, the addition of McDonald (a seasoned wide receivers coach) would make sense. He obviously has great South Florida ties, and that could be a huge boost for a UF squad that has some work to do in terms of their upcoming recruiting class. He and McElwain have never worked together, but there are links to Randy Shannon (new linebackers coach).

ACC fails to deliver during bowl season (ESPN: Adelson)

There were moments of glory in the ACC this season, praise-worthy snapshots any conference would want.

A whopping five wins over top-10 teams, and 12 wins over teams from Power 5 conferences; a 5-3 record against the SEC, its first winning mark again its rival conference since 2003; and a team in the first-ever College Football Playoff.

But we are talkin' 'bout the ACC, folks.

Status: It's complicated...

Desko said an IPF practice schedule is set for the spring with football, men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse all on it.

Desko: That new facility is tremendous. Same floor print as the Dome. We're really happy to be out there. Two-a-days start Wednesday.

Desko: Having 80 yards isn't the same as having 110. Having the full field will help us get off to a better start.

Desko: There's already a schedule in place with the football team using the new facilities.

Sobering landscape as Temple ponders football stadium (Philly.com)

Temple, facing a near doubling of its annual $1 million Lincoln Financial Field lease and with a history of attendance woes, had been expected to make a stadium decision this fall when a university-wide master plan was unveiled.

While that didn't happen, sources on North Broad Street indicate that, if some remaining financial details can be resolved, a go-ahead for a 30,000-seat, on-campus facility could come as early as this spring.
