Recruiting Roundup: SU Football Pursuing Pair of Western Michigan Commits (the juice; Cheng)

Hope you had a great weekend, everyone. We all know that Leonardo DiCaprio did! On to today’s recruiting links…

Two coaches from that staff have moved over to the Orange, and Coleman is on flip watch now. The Indianapolis (Ind.) Cathedral prospect has a three-star rating from Scout.

Another Western Michigan commit on flip watch to the ‘Cuse is running back D’Wayne Eskridge, writes McAllister. Eskridge has a strong relationship with current Syracuse RB coach Mike Hart, which could help facilitate the process. The three-star prospect is considering taking an official to SU.

50 Degree Out Sunday But 1 Foot of Snow Possible Tuesday-Wednesday in CNY (PS; Coin)

The National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow watch for Central New York, with up to a foot of snow possible Tuesday and Wednesday.

The weather service warns of "dangerous travel" conditions, with poor visibility and winds of 15 to 25 mph, gusting to 40 mph.

"Drifting snow which could make keeping roads clear challenging," the weather service said.

The lake effect snow watch is for Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday for Onondaga, Madison and Oneida counties.

Tug Hill and Western New York are getting hit hard with lake effect now; nearly 2 feet has already fallen in Highmarket. (Several schools have announced closuresfor today.) That snow will stay north of Syracuse during day today, and give us a few flurries during the day Tuesday, the weather service said.

"Colder air will follow this system as winds shift to the northwest and push the heavier lake effect snows southward into Onondaga, Madison and Oneida counties Tuesday night and Wednesday," the weather service said. "The lake effect snows will taper off by Wednesday night."

Temperatures will be in the teens to mid 20s.

Just interviewed Greg Robinson about his coaching tenure at Syracuse, where he was 5-37 over four years. Had a lot to say. Will tweet quotes

Robinson: "If you go back to the archives of the players that I left in that program, a whole bunch went into pro football that I recruited"

Robinson: "I’m not going to say it was better than when I came but I’m just going to tell you that I left in very good shape."

Robinson: "They’d see Justin Pugh, and what’s the quarterback’s name on the Giants? I’m redshirting him and Chandler Jones"

Robinson: "This I do know. I have an outstanding reputation in the city of Syracuse for the kind of person and the kind of family man I was"

Robinson, on SU: “I have no regrets. I gave everything I had. It’s just, I ran out of time. That’s the bottom line. I ran out of time."

Robinson on final speech: "I think I can, I knew I could. Like I said, I ran out of time. I’m not ashamed of that. Not at all."

Recruiting. Florida kids/prospects can sit in at IMG and watch Michigan practice... not so on a military base.
Understood. However, when the rules come that forbid Harbaugh's actions don't be surprised if the Ft. Drum opportunity disappears as well*.

* this assumes that HCDB intends to co tinge the practice. He's from a military family, so he may... but as everything else from the previous regime has been wiped away, the annual trek to Ft.Drum could be a thing of the past as well.
