National Corn Chip Day celebrates the Corn Chip. Fifty years ago, few Americans knew what Corn Chips were. Today, most American can not imagine life without this tasty, crunchy holder of salsa, cheese and (mostly) mexican dips. Its even sprinkled atop salads, making salads even more crunchy.
On National Corn Chip Day, enjoy eating one of your favorite snacks. And, take our Corn Chip challenge...eat corn chips for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks today! I don't know about you. But, I will find that easy to do.

High Rise Syracuse Apartments to Undergo $40 Million Renovation (PS; Moriarty)
The 305-unit Clinton Plaza Apartments will undergo a major renovation, the first since the subsidized housing development opened 45 years ago in downtown Syracuse, city officials said.
Mayor Stephanie Miner said Thursday the city has closed on $675,000 in financing for the project, enabling The Mullholland Group LLC, a Whitestone-based developer of multifamily housing, to acquire the building and perform $40 million in improvements.
"We are committed to providing our citizens with excellent, accessible housing choices, in downtown and throughout our city," Miner said in a statement. "This project is a significant step advancing that cause."
The $675,000 grant will come from the city's HOME program, using money awarded to the city by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The building also is receiving a property tax exemption through the Syracuse Industrial Development Agency.
