Hopefully we knock off a few of those teams and improve our ranking. The offense seems limited by design though - play calling and not having the best play makers out there to maximize point scoring. The defense just seems limited by personnel - the secondary primarily.

After yesterday, this statistic set starts to make more sense. And yesterday, was a bad day for us with this statistic set, which played out on the scoreboard.

Next two weeks, it will continue to normalize. And hopefully not follow yesterday's trend.

I love how you don't seem to care about the 3rd part of the game. Special teams. It's more then just offense and defense. Yes yesterdays came was bad for both defense and special teams.

Last game really hurt us. We still find 3 wins and get to a bowl game this year. We will be way up and way down this season with so many freshman and RS freshman. Our Defense has a ton of new faces as well.

I don't think this analysis is valid at this time. Syracuse will clearly win a game or two more at the least. Their offensive stats will improve as Dungey learns and gets more comfortable and as the coaches get more comfortable of how to utilize him. They are a mediocre team at best but they aren't going to lose out the rest of the season like this would imply.

Yards per play is sliding too. Down to 80th on offense, 97th defense. So it's not just pace anymore
