For the teams sake ....

A change at QB has to happen...they play too hard to see the definition of insanity happen game after game. Devito just doesn't have it when things go live.
He’s just a kid. I feel bad for Devito - coming in with such accolades. But yesterday was rough. Wonder what the mood is like in the locker room. The QB is simply pivotal.

I think Devito still brings way more to the table unless we want to really just go RPO every play.. But Shrader threw it fine.

If I’m Dino’s boss, I say, “Your QB of choice ain’t working. What else you got?” If the answer is, “Nothing, he’s our best chance to win,” at this point I reply, “Hit the bricks.”

The team has no chemistry. Devito makes some beautiful throws and they’re dropped, or some horrendous throws that aren’t catchable. The thing that disturbed me most yesterday is Devito yelling at the receivers as they come back to the line for the drops; while later in the game one of the receivers was staring at him just deflated at the line when Devito threw a pass behind him that the receiver couldn’t adjust enough to hang onto. The level of infighting in Game 2 is far too soon, meaning it’s been there all of spring camp and wasn’t diffused. Coach has lost the team as long as Devito is QB and this isn’t dealt with.

Down 7-0 to Clemson a couple yrs ago in the Dome after 2 straight years of playing them tough, one a win- the other a “shoulda won”.
Lawrence throws an INT, the Dome’s going wild, national TV, now we got something cookin! In comes Devito and 1st play throws a poorly thrown interception to a phantom receiver. Game, set, match.
The rest of that blowout contest was what we’ve been watching these past 2 seasons: No presence in the pocket, bad or no decisions, happy feet, and deer in the headlights.
I knew after that play and that game, Tommy was NOT the guy. That others have finally reached that same conclusion doesn’t surprise at all. What took you so long?

there is no shame in throwing a ball out of bounds to avoid a sack. yes it dings your stats but it helps your team.

It is weird, off the field he seems to have swagger but nothing on the field. After he ran for that first down on 2nd and 1 (Taj fumble drive) I expected him to pop up and show some emotion given that it was NJ State we were playing. Yet nothing. Not even a first down hand signal.

No idea I’ve known this for awhile

So, the part of the game I got to listen to was most of the first half. It sounded like the offense moved the ball most consistently with TD but there was one drive where it was a 3rd and long where GS made an improvisational play with his feet to keep a drive going. Which is the better trade off? Can GS get consistent enough so that he's making the play that's there when it is and create more when it's not?
