2. Who are the new faces to the program?
Three junior college transfers – H back Richard Murphy, linebacker Nick Cook and defensive back Branden Dozier – are already in school and will take part in spring practice. Lambert expects each to contribute immediately. Lambert said the 49ers are also trying to get an NCAA waiver so defensive end Josh Manley (who transferred from Syracuse) can play next season.
