Former Syracuse players support Scott Shafer but question identity, direction of new offense

I think this article is ridiculous at this point.

Sure, bumps in the road to start, but can we wait more than 2 games against Penn State and Northwestern? We haven't even played in the Dome yet!

I guess the PS really is the Wild West of blogs at this point. Disappointing.

What, only thing worse than our offense is that article. In addition, isn't the offense the pistol? Which combines aspects of a power running game and some spread principles? Yes or No?

Fluck that Cohen, what a hack.

And we all know when Kose was here that the offense looked like the 84-85 Miami Dolphins.. What

What a surprise that the snarky male version of Juno writes an article regarding problems at SU.
Thanks for helping identify the author before I clicked the link. Obviously, Cohen has an agenda. Hopefully, between the staff limiting his access and fewer and fewer hits on his musings will lead him to the Hartford Courant sooner rather than later.

Class A a$$clown.

Yeah, not going to read that article.

To summarize, I think he was talking to 4 former players who were either buddies of his, or at least acquaintances. Asked them what they thought about the offense. Then printed it. Who knows if he told them it would be "on the record" or if there even is an on the record for this glorified blog.

Anything more you read about it would be a serious waste of your time.

Reminds me of the hacks that tried to take down the hoop program over free spaghetti.

This answers the question I asked in another thread about whether Cohen was starting to get it ...nope. I'm glad I didn't read the article.

It included meatballs.

I didn't see anything in that article or quotes by players that hasn't been said at least 931 times on this site.

Putting aside the griping about the article itself...

An emphasis on getting the ball in the hands of playmakers like Ashton Broyld, Christopher Clark and Brisly Estime has transformed the tailback Smith, who is playing 36 percent of SU's offensive snaps, from an all-conference performer to just another runner.

That's crazy. How the hell do we only have Smith on the field for a third of our plays?!

Yeah... but... COHEN!!!

:noidea:

How dare those players and the PS! It's our job to unfairly rip players and coaches after only two games against quality opponents! Bastards!

yeah that sounds like something straight out of 1998 thinking of spread as some pass happy gimmick as if they're all june jones offenses

Bingo, the lack of touches for Smith has been criminal.

Yeah, it's one of the bigger questions two games in.

That's pretty much my point. The PS has essentially become the same as this site. Maybe we can merge and go back. The 'articles' by the writers just become posts on the message board.
