Former USC fullback pushing for walk-on reforms

Not allowing walk-ons to eat training table meals without paying for them is pretty ridiculous- especially since managers and other staff are eligible to eat for free. Someone at the NCAA would have to tell me what kind of edge that would give a school.

Now, is he focusing just on football or ALL non-scholarship athletes, like, well, many of the non revenue sports?

The only big thing I saw there was the insurance thing. That should be mandatory for the university to pick up. The meal thing isn't a big deal to me. If the walk-on has a meal plan, cover the team meals under that. If not, then pay. As a student, when I went to the dining hall without a meal plan, I had to pay.
