Fortt, Pollard Gone From State Penn

I like that we play Army regularly and am looking forward to making the road trip to Arkansas this fall.

Am not looking forward to the Kent State game!

I will give Rutgers credit for at least scheduling Arkansas when WVU left on the road no else. But the rest of the schedule is a joke. Having army is fine but them along with Tulane and Kent State and a 1AA is way to weak.

What is predictable is using the "we are going to the ACC and the Big East is terrible" response or some variation of it to every post. Doesn't make sense to bash a conference you are picked to finish near last in(and finished dead last in last year).

BTW Houston/SMU/UCF are all better teams then SU at the moment...

Important part of your post is "at the moment". UCF is about to embark on a 1 year postseason ban due to massive recruiting violations after going 5-7 last season (ironically the same record as Syracuse), Houston, definitely a better program than SU over the past 5 years, just lost their head coach, and if you really want to hang your hat on SMU as a cornerstone conference program good luck with that. I'd be willing to bet that most casual college football fans don't even know what SMU stands for or even remember the last time they really were relevant due to the death penalty fall out. People like to say 2001, the last time SU won 10 games, is so far in the past it can't be remembered. Well try 1984. Yeah going on 30 years for SMU. SMU is 25-39 over the past 5 years as well, although they have strung together consecutive 8, 7 and 8 win seasons after going 1-11 the 2 years prior to that streak.

If you're actually going to try and argue that the Big East is a better conference option than the ACC right now, then you're completely delusional.

Because I think it matters as to where they can transfer because the NCAA also waived the 25 schollie limit for a year.

Yeah, it makes a difference. But still ... not a single rumor until sanctions were announced. Really? I'm not going to hammer the kids, I'm just saying it'd be nice to think there were at least a couple that understood the gravity of the events going on there.
