Not sure why you are replying to me … show me one post where I called for Collins to be benched. If you look what you’ll find is me literally stating that Fran may be right and he is our best option. I do find the OP to be classless playing the sin card when they very little about what goes on in practice or in player meetings.
This was not a rebuttal to your post! I just used the reply button as an opportunity to reply to the thread and sentiment in general...

The problem with pride if we are going down the topic route isn't the QB or players, it is about not saying Nixon and play calling are flexible and can adapt... aka about his coaching staff is lacking the ability to adapt to players and substitutions and just sticking to the same plays and plan where we need to find players to fit 'the plan'.

Well guess what, none is going to fit the planned positions if there is no flexibility in plays or calling them, and wins are going to be less as a result. We have seen that from the start of the year. We barely won our wins we have. The same last year. McCord was a gift we miss.

Thought the few throws carney was allowed to make looked good. When he was finally allowed to throw on third and 12 he was moving around looking to make a play time just ran out and he took the sack. My issue is playing a walkon over all your other scholarship qbs. Seems like Fran wants then all to leave to free up scholarships for next year and hit the portal. The problem is have many portal qbs coming with Steve coming back. May get one but it could be another Ricky situation. A good qb is not coming to sit.
With the QB situation going into next year, it seems like we will likely need to target a somewhat experienced junior or more likely a senior that could step in and not be awful if Steve is not quite ready or gets injured again.

Then also bring in another promising freshman or redshirt freshman. Current incoming freshman are all committed but hopefully there are some that maybe don’t like their currently committed schools QB developments. Like if they have a freshman that stepped into the starter role, like Pitt for example.

pride (Latin: superbia) is consistently considered the worst and most serious of the seven deadly sins. It is often described as the "mother of all sins" or the "original sin" from which all others stem
.

we all remember the hubris displayed by making our team run wind sprints after victory ? that aged well !

(hubris is excessive pride or arrogance often in greek tragedy leading to ones own downfall.

Pride is a sin Mr. Brown being a head football coach people will question your decisions. Throwing the walk on freshman QB to wolves is not a good look. You have now wasted 3 games of your freshmen QB redshirt on garbage time. Sadly, you proved your point but at what cost? If you and your staff can't develop a backup QB that is squarely on you. Please leave Carney on the bench, also don't start Filardi again. If Rickie is sadly the only answer so, be it. Man up own it and move on. Enough of the coach speak DART whatever crap. Pride is a sin Fran pray on it...

I bet he read this.

The guy uses profanity left and right and certain posters think the pride thing is a "gotcha". News flash, he's not the most pius person to begin with.
