Agree. I think he is still trying to figure out where the line is between HC and assistant.

He has said it before that Willis is the best offensive player on team. So if it’s the 3rd quarter and they still haven’t given it to him…..why not make them do it!?!? It’s a perk of being a HC.

Similarly, you have a defensive background. Don’t hide behind the fact that you weren’t ever a DC before. ERob is just as inexperienced. Over rule his a** if the play calling sucks!

I agree with the building culture narrative. I also firmly believe that next year the team will take a step forward. The third year is when you see real growth. First year is a free pass. The second year is having to deal with real expectations and solidifying your philosophy. Third year it takes hold. I think that's true in any job. The third year is when you really get your feet under you and take ownership.

Has anyone talked about what happened on the field when one of big dudes (I don't recall who it was) went down with an injury and Fran immediately came onto the field? Fran appeared to be very agitated and once the big guy got up, it appeared that Fran was yelling at him. Was he upset because he thought the guy was faking an injury?? It was strange.
