Brady also could be much better in practice and had some in-game issues he couldn’t overcome. You don’t generally win a starting job multiple years in a row at any position by not being good in practice.

One more thing that struck me was his praise for David O. All but said he's a leader in the locker room for the DL group despite being a redshirt freshman. Fran has high expectations for him.

Not surprised. A man that can carry a nickname like "Slimy David" has the goods.

Four succesive coaches got better jobs including Collins in 2018. A good coach can still do good there. That’s like saying Fran wouldn’t have any success at SU because of our recent history.
