That was one of my biggest takeaways. Clearly guarded and not forthcoming on a number of topics. He doesn’t want to dwell on the players running sprints after the UConn game. Seems there’s been some blowback there and he wants to kill the story. Probably a case of a young coach realizing he doesn’t want it to label him. But Fran is trying to stay in the moment and find his groove on the podium. He’s clearly concerned about saying the wrong thing and letting it become chalkboard chatter. Fran is learning as much as his team.
