yes, this is a nothing burger. People just want to complain. What’s the obsession with Kevin Coyle? Don’t analysts come and go relatively frequently in CFB?
I remember Nick Saban used to always have a bunch on staff as a filler year between actual coaching jobs. I get it’s mid-season, but with the amount of turnover this year already in september Across the country, I don’t find this weird.
Blitzing is like driving. We either do not blitz enough or we blitz too much. In the other games, we win.yes, this is a nothing burger. People just want to complain.
I think there’s a reason he doesn’t want to talk about why they knew the plays calls and doesn’t think it’s worth digging into.
Also, first time I’ve watched a presser and not loved what I’m hearing from Fran. It’s the same thing every time we lose….at some point ya gotta fix it.
Obviously I still love the dude and want him to stay long term but my first red flags have gone up
That’s what she saidI'd like to hear the reporters press the D question a little harder and I'd like Fran to start acknowledging the defense is a problem. It's a trend at this point that needs to be fixed.
If he's saying Rickie is the guy we need, he's in trouble, unless you fix his passing, and his decision making you are going to have the same result.Dude has only lost 5 times and hasn't lost back to back games yet. If he is saying the same thing every time we lose, it is working to this point and has been fixed going into the next week.
Rickie Collins has a velocity on the football when he throws it that you can't really teach. He does not have a passing problem, he can throw the football extremely well. At least as of right now based on the press conference, they feel like they can with the new film work through the decision making. This seems like a huge feat to clear and it is. But it's mostly the decision making. I would also add if they can work with him through the decision making and commanding the offense, he is going to be an NFL Quarterback. Look at his scouting report from High School. I'm not saying we should have endless patience, but it was one game.If he's saying Rickie is the guy we need, he's in trouble, unless you fix his passing, and his decision making you are going to have the same result.

Not a flexCuseguy has T-shirts older than Cuse on 3
What is this arm people keep speaking of? Nassib jumped out at me. Same for TD. Even CDRW. I haven’t seen anything seen nothing of Collins. His passes down field often float and are under thrown. I haven’t see. Short fastballs. What are people seeing?Rickie Collins has a velocity on the football when he throws it that you can't really teach. yea, seems like people here overrated him a bit in the categories we heard he excelled in. I don’t fault the posters for it. Disappointed nonetheless. What is this arm people keep speaking of? Agreed. It's not a big deal and certainly given situation. What’s the obsession with Kevin Coyle? Don’t analysts come and go relatively frequently in CFB?

The problem is, decision making and going through progression do not improve immediately if ever. Those are the issues I had the Colgate and Clemson game and it was way worse against Duke. You can have all the arm talent in the world but I’m you do not have a feel for the game and cannot go through your progression quickly you will not succeed as a pocket passer.Rickie Collins has a velocity on the football when he throws it that you can't really teach. I will say: Steve is a year older than Ricky with a bit more experience too, and to my eyes he definitely made a big leap in processing and commanding the offense through just a few games. He looked like McCord against Clemson and really didn’t look like that against Tennessee or UConn, so I don’t really agree that that can’t get better. The problem is, decision making and going through progression do not improve immediately if ever. The play to me that summed up Ricky to this point was when we had the ball on the 4 after Willis’s run, Rickey rolls out of the pocket and instead of throwing the ball away took a sack. No field awareness in your third year in college is concerning. The fact it was his first start does not change anything concerning poor field awareness.
I would disagree. He got hit a lot but I do not think his decision making was bad. He moved the ball, went through progressions and led his receivers. He had a one start and a couple games prior to coming to SU. He showed a lot more poise and command of the offense with only getting on campus in June.I will say: Steve is a year older than Ricky with a bit more experience too, and to my eyes he definitely made a big leap in processing and commanding the offense through just a few games.
