Fran's Game 9 Press Conference | BC

Brown says he expect the BC-Syracuse rivalry to be pretty intense.

Brown calls Thomas Castellanos a human joystick with his agility.

Zeed Haynes is back with the team full time. Brown said Haynes will be back on the field in the next few weeks.

Willis, Jacquez, CDRW all probably out for BC. CDRW may be done for the year.

Brown said the kicker competition is a continued race. Jackson Kennedy took all kicks against Virginia Tech after he had "the best showing in practice."

Brown said he was really pissed when VT's kicker disrespected Syracuse's band at halftime.

Interesting answer from Fran Brown on using a deep rotation on the offensive line against Virginia Tech. Said in the portal era he wants to keep guys at Syracuse so if they deserve to play, he is going to try to play them. Said he apologized to James Heard for not getting him in.

Wish someone would ask if he has considered lowering the intensity of practices a bit (especially "Bloody Tuesdays") now that players are getting into the home stretch with injuries piling up.

He ain’t playing anywhere good
I agree, but some guys just want to start and play the game. I could see him transferring to an FCS program.

This is one of the worst tackling teams in the country. I wonder how they can improve the tackling without tackling in practice.

no question on how Barnes came out of the weekend with his injury.

he got injured? was re-injured? or was coming back from an injury?

Way too many plays with 4-5-6 missed tackles

so many missed assignments as well

The one long pass as coach said they had 2 guys running 20 yds open.

i don't think they can be any worse. might as well try something different.

The Db that got hurt on the play at the goal line and came off the field holding his arm like a collarbone injury. I thought it was Barnes.

W.t.? I'd think there would be more chatter if Barnes got injured again.

SU is 28th best in long scrimmage plays allowed, 19th on 3rd down, it’s not that bad. It could be better, but overall it’s not worst at anything.

Great answer about a corner being “pissy” about not playing. “You don’t deserve anything. You have to earn it“ and then lists a bunch of things he needs to improve.
Wonder who he is referring too

Fran used the word tackling about twenty times in two minutes in answer to a question about what he wants to see this weekend. He is definitely focused on it.
