A classic Syracuse free throw stinker. 14-25, 56%. GT 22-25. There's the margin of difference right there. But hidden truth is we got killed on the glass as usual. Nobody can finish at the rim except Lydon. PG play is abysmal, Howard is killing us.

I'm too weak-stomached to revisit the 'tape,' but if there's someone more intrepid out there who'd like to count the number of times a FT shooter was moving backward on release, i kinda think that would be 'telling.' It's like we take the shot for granted, or aren't invested enough in the outcome to need that one point.

It's not just the differential in points scored from the line. If we had been making ours, we wouldn't have been fouling them purposely at the end.

Free throws need to be made and we hit them at a better clip and we win.

But let's be honest, we should never ever be in a game that has to be decided by free throws against a GT or Uconn.
