I kinda wonder whether we'll redshirt Fagan this year if he isn't on the two deep. Hypothetically, he could play in up to 4 games on special teams.

Good point, i would like to see him get a shirt too. That said, i think he comes to camp in shape and has a good, stout natural build. If he gets the O and makes the proper reads and route adjustments, DINO just might burn that shirt

I think anyone can take a redshirt. I don't think it's limited to freshmen. The main issue is that you're limited to 5 years of eligibility barring receiving extra years for extraordinary circumstances.

That theory has been a dream with such a lack of depth the past few years.

We need to win. And injuries happen all the time. This program has no luxury to stash players to develop as help now is worth more than the 2022 season.

I’m not saying no but what second teamer ever helped us win. We need Jr. and Sr. Playing not freshmen. I just want one guy who pushed us as a freshmen into stardom. Mcnabb did as a redshirt but not fresh. Let’s hope it does this year

It's almost like giving kids 5 years of eligibility. I think the change was made to offset guys leaving early.

i do not think we have the depth to rs anyone that appears to give us more on the field talent. rs is for the players that are under developed. we need to use everyone that we can who is ready to get experience and has the skills. jmho

I don't know who will stand out but what I do want is that a few of them are so good Dino can't not play them and not because the veteran isn't that good.

Need someone to replace Riley on Kickoff returns, we have been bad for a few years.

I hate the Fagan wasted a whole year playing in exactly 4 games last year. The new rule will be a huge help to a program like ours.

I imagine a lot of freshman playing this year, especially on specials. Game time can be a great practice motivator for the freshman. The four games without burning the redshirt seems to make it a no brainer.

Injuries/lack of positional depth will dictate most guys who may play more than the 4 game limit.
