Sean Payton answers these questions:

Does the scheduling annoy you that Coach Doug Marrone is bringing his Syracuse team to New Orleans to play Tulane and you'll be out of town in Carolina?

Could you expand on Coach Marrone?

What were your thoughts when he was thinking of taking the Syracuse job?

Was he involved in scouting Jermon Bushrod and Jahri Evans?

AN FYI

Caleb Scepaniak returns to the Seton Catholic lineup this weekend after serving a two game suspension for something he said to an official. Despite that situation coaches say he works hard, has a good attitude and is a DI prospect. The article below says he had a concussion, who knows?

Former Player

Chargers SS Steve Gregory has played every defensive snap in each of the last two games.

When Bob Sanders (knee) went down, the undersized Gregory was expected to be spelled at times by Paul Oliver. But the former undrafted free agent is holding his own and running with the job. He has ten tackles over the last two weeks.

Former Staff

The only difference is new defensive coordinator Greg Mattison. He’s not only one of the game’s best, he’s not Greg Robinson—which should tell you all you need to know about Michigan’s defense currently giving up 10.2 points a game after giving up 18,000 points per game last fall.

If Rich Rodriguez made one fatal mistake at Ann Arbor, it was his inability to convince Jeff Casteel to leave West Virginia and coach defense at Michigan. Rodriguez compounded the problems by hiring Robinson after his first choice in Season 1 (Scott Shafer) bombed spectacularly.

Great article in PS on Marrone's open audition for receivers. It's about damn time.

Also, good read on Sean Payton's thoughts of Doug.
