Fair enough.Tom Brady and I have combined to win 5 Super Bowls.
A few years ago, some people on here felt slighted we weren't mentioned in the same breath as Duke. Now we get mad when people point out we're not as good right now as we were when we're in the bottom half of the acc standings.
We can't have it both ways. We're either a storied program that is down and people are gonna point it out or we weren't relevant enough for people to care.
What excuse will we use next year, when we still are middle of the pack in the ACC?We also don't have any sort of business NOT being on it. Those 3 have fallen much further, but we've certainly had a major downturn in the program recently. We're also the one closest to returning back to where we were. Hopefully, next year, we can laugh at those programs and not feel so bad about ourselves at the same time.

Boeheim: ‘It’s only Frank’s second year of him being the point guard. A starter where he’s not getting taken out all of the time. It takes time. Pascal really hasn’t played much basketball. It takes time.’
Kinda like castrating yourself because your neighbor down the road has too many kids.

Whatever. He took 4 teams that were really good while in the oldish Big East and pointed out that they're not now. Nitpick if you want. He's not wrong, even if the degrees of "down" are different. This isn’t about having anything both ways, it’s just about being honest. Syracuse is miles ahead of UConn, Georgetown, and Pitt right now in every measurable category.
4-5 years ago we were comparable to Duke at the time. Not right now.
A more honest way to make the “hey, Cuse is down” would be to point out how Cuse, Louisville, UCLA, and Wisconsin are having down years - if one insists on grouping programs. Those are comparable programs to Cuse.
