FSU is going to be all over the bubble screen

How's GMac going to counter that ?

I'm betting the over on "curl up in the fetal position and sucks his thumb".

Whatever, Pitt and BC are the season.

Doesn't look like Brisly is playing based off his twitter

I was thinking that to. after all of our 3 and outs, it would depend on how quickly florida state scores.

but we could give each of our 4 backs 20 carries - and maybe sprinkle in Hunt with a few.

Talk about dumbing down an offense... I love it!:)

I dont think it matters what we do or what they do. It may make a difference of 14 points but at the end of the day to quote Orange PA they are much bigger much faster and much stronger. Arguably the most athletic team in the country.

Out scheming them will keep the game close for a few minutes and then they will blow us out not because of bubble screens either

I am having nightmares of us starting with the football and running a bubble screen on 1st down for a pick 6. If I'm FSU's DC, I put 8 in the box and play tight single coverage. I take my chances that even on the odd occasion that SU gets a WR open deep, that Hunt won't be able to complete it. What are the odds we get more than one long pass TD?

The only way we can stay close is if FSU turns it over 4 times and we don't turn it over at all, combined with a TD on D and another on ST and also being able to grind out 300 yards on the ground and eat up large chunks of clock.
Somehow I think if they turn it over four times to none for us, we score on D and special teams, run for 300 yards, and own the clock, we should be in pretty good shape.

I'd put more air under the bubble screen passes, Dave LaRoche style. FSU will run right past it. Easy catch for Estime, and all 11 FSU guys will be standing in our end zone watching him run the other way.

Run the ball all game long run it play two tight ends and play physical ball simply put pound the ball for four quarters sprinkle in a few deep shots do not throw a single out unless it is a deep route and oh in case i forgot run the ball

FSU is going to be playing a press man and watching Hunts eyes the whole time. They have the speed to pk6 many of his passes if he doesn't have time and if he can look off his receivers...I think this is when we have to see a mature Hunt. If Smith and more importantly the o-line can drive holes into a defense that will be having 8 in the box SU has a chance. The tight ends in this game are huge and they have to either step up or be utilized. These guys are far better than Clemson's DB's and our receivers didn't have 4" of space in that game.

FSU knows SU is going to try to run the ball. the 3rd and longs have to avoided and we can't have 1 yard gains on the first 2 carries or motion penalties...have to play smart. Smith can't just bash into the planned area and bang against his linemen...he has to read and react to holes or spaces available.

I agree the other thing that we may want to try and it is counterintuitive is to run a fast O but do so and run the ball vs pass.
