It's definitely better for us...But with football really driving decisions, I wonder if we'll start hearing remarks from others in the ACC how SU doesn't make that much sense. They may look at it as very good for basketball, but neutral at best for football.

Agree, I am sure we will hear this. But, it depends what syracuse you are looking at also. Are you looking at the one that finished 2nd and 3rd every year with VT and Pitt while Miami was the best team in the country or are you looking at the current syracuse team? To bad we couldn't ride out pasqualoni until now.
