I think in their hearts they know Hurley is a fraud. If he left and they threw money at Pikiell (26-23 last 3 seasons in B1G) they would be better off.

The names I read we’re Kenny Payne, Bruce Pearl and Nate Oates. Kenny Payne is the name I’ve mentioned several times as someone SU should look at. The story was that Pearl wants it bad.

Pearl isn't getting the Louisville job. Too much baggage as Forde mentioned. Payne is a possibility. I have not seen Oats mentioned anywhere for that gig.

WLKY in Kentucky mentioned Payne, Pearl, Wade and Oates might be interested. He didn’t think Louisville would be interested in Pearl because of his past transgressions. I would put Wade in that category too. I didn’t see Red or GMAC on the list!

The only reason Pearl hasn't got nailed again and booted is the recent changes with the NCAA. Things are only gonna get dirtier now so that part of it won't matter much.

These are all legit coaches. I'd be happy with all of them at SU.

I thought UCLA was crazy for hiring Cronin, but the guy has exploded there.
