Maryland is #60. If I'm reading him right, we are a theoretical 12 point favorite (79-71=8, plus 4 for being at home).

Obviously, it's early in the season, but some teams have played 3 games, and this takes on more meaning each week.

Sagarin...which I'm not the biggest believer in...just looks at X amount of data and doesn't see improvement as the season progresses. Just looks at what you did and BC, though getting a lot better, has lost and that is what the computer sees with the information it is handed.

Right, Maryland has a running QB and good receivers... but their defense isn't anything special from what I saw.

Mobile QB and dynamic WRs is not a good combination for this D.

I think the staff's ability to game plan for the Maryland game, and their ability to adjust in-game, is going to tell us a lot about their learning curve progress going forward.
