It’s a long ways from home.Oklahoma is certainly a weird choice.

It's a good question. Whatever the staff thinks. Anyway we can get in front of him is great, but don't think it would hurt to get him back on campus.Do you think with a player who has already played here, it is important to get him on campus?
would he really need to visit campus? He visited St Johns already. In our case, its probably a good thing that he's still looking to take visits. Hopefully we can get him on campus...

One more in the SEC too I heard…I heard he might be visiting Kentucky too.![]()

This new college world isn’t patient to wait for development which was always my favorite part of watching players over the years. There’s so much pressure and $ reward for both players and coaches to be impatient. It’s chasing some coaches out of the business and leaving some players with no landing place after going to the portal whether being their choice or not. Guess everyone must adjust. This is also a lesson for fans needing to have patience with players as they develop (and players also needing to be patient in their development process). I bring this up here because we have a lot of fans that are skeptical at growth next season from players like Starling and Bell, like they’re finished products. Both of those guys have a real chance to take big step forward next season on both offense and defense, especially with different players around them.
When you have a chance to play alongside Brycen Goodine during his historic 12th year of college, you got to investigate.Per Zagoria, visiting Oklahoma this weekend. Interesting choice for first visit…

Just to be clear, this is a joke and I really like Goodine.
Probably wind up at YukonArkansas ? Paypal seems to be linked to everyone
He seems like a good fit but I think he might be a little too lazy defensively for Hurley honestlyProbably wind up at Yukon

Such a lazy take. He shot 44.4% his junior year. He shot 35% the year before. He didn't shoot well from 3 last year but is still 34% overall.
Lol to all the posters who said “it’s not happening”, “we won’t even bother reaching out”, “there’s zero interest on his end”… what a wild new world this is. Let’s get this done.

kadary wasn't in shape though..JB not only made a bad decision but in addition the way that he tried to defend his decision by trying to put the blame on Kadary for not being in shape was a low point for him.
If your coach has a vision, you shouldn't recruit players that don't fit the vision.Would be an interesting fit considering I believe Red's vision is to be up tempo and Kadary doesn't fit that. However, talent wise you make an exception. I've been a SHU season ticket holder the last few years and while he's still flawed he's shown great growth. He can get to his spots/whatever spot he wants. Still not a good shooter but does everything else exceptional. Always a triple double threat and while he still floats a little bit, he was in better shape / more engaged this year.
Not sure how much say he'll have / where his camp will want him to go. Rumor friends of mine told me was his mid-season "injury" was NIL related.
Personally, would welcome him back with open arms if we have the chance to land him.
Can't imagine he would have reached out to him if there were some bad things that would come up. He already has coached him for a year and he and the other coaches have a network of contacts that they talk to.If your coach has a vision, you shouldn't recruit players that don't fit the vision.
It's worth reaching out for sure but if Red sees any red flags I'd run away fast. Especially at the money we're talking about.
Red's ship isn't going to make it far out of port if he insists that every recruit has to be an unselfish, great teammate first, talent be damned. We need talent and skill. Finding players that bring this and the right attitude are unicorns. I just feel that maybe Red is overcompensating for the last year and that he's forgetting it was a combination of bad attitude and mediocre talent. Woof.If your coach has a vision, you shouldn't recruit players that don't fit the vision.
So did you read the second and third sentence or just completely ignore it?Red's ship isn't going to make it far out of port if he insists that every recruit has to be an unselfish, great teammate first, talent be damned. Nobody is saying it's everything, but you have to admit that talent is what excites the fan base. Had our disgruntled "stars" been talented enough to make the tournament last year and won a game or two, that team would be remembered a lot more favorably, warts and all.So did you read the second and third sentence or just completely ignore it?
If you have one person that is not buying in, it allows others to not buy in. That's all I'm saying. It's important, especially when that person already has a history with us.
Talent isn't everything. How many "talented and skilled" NBA teams went out in the first round of the playoffs this year? How many "talented and skilled" NCAA teams didn't make it out of opening weekend?
