Exactly! But I don't think his credentials last year would have excited anyone.I would take Stirtz in a heartbeat.

That’s why you need to do your homework. That includes talking to people who see him play.Exactly! But I don't think his credentials last year would have excited anyone.
McCollum had the unique advantage in which he didn't need to do in depth research or talk to anyone about Stirtz. He saw first hand what Stirtz brought to the table for two years before his transfer to Drake. That’s why you need to do your homework. That includes talking to people who see him play.
Somewhere near Salina street we let him slip awayWindshield wiper slappin' time

Keep cherry picking. Fact is for every Stirtz there are 10 or more Carlos’s.What if he was a DII guard scoring 15 per game and shooting 32% from 3? Oh wait, that is Bennett Stirtz.
But what makes you think this guy is a "Carlos?" Carlos's numbers this year were not very different from his numbers at Hofstra, I think people just hoped he'd be better than he was. This guy shoots 48% from the floor and 43% from three. Even if he is just a depth guy, we need those guys and we aren't going to get them from other power 5 teams.Keep cherry picking. Fact is for every Stirtz there are 10 or more Carlos’s.
I said Carlos was going to be a dud last summer. This is someone I don't have a problem getting behind. His interest list says enough. His advanced metrics are good. Carlos were not. You have to look past just what school they were at.Keep cherry picking. Fact is for every Stirtz there are 10 or more Carlos’s.
Carlos was a two time defensive team pick, averaged over 6assists, a 3/1 assist to to ratio, and shot 34% from 3 In the same league. You have to consider the level of opposition.I said Carlos was going to be a dud last summer. This is someone I don't have a problem getting behind. His interest list says enough. If we think we can compete in the ACC with a team full of CAA players, get used to struggling to make the league tournament. But what makes you think this guy is a "Carlos?" But Auburn's top scorer came from Morehead State, Alabama's top scorer came from Ohio, Tennessee's top scorer came from North Florida, and Florida's top scorer came from Iona. So if you refuse to recruit some mid major guys you are likely missing out on the best available guys.If we think we can compete in the ACC with a team full of CAA players, get used to struggling to make the league tournament.
Who said anything about a team full of CAA players? No one. We are talking about one guy.If we think we can compete in the ACC with a team full of CAA players, get used to struggling to make the league tournament.
He would be a great get.
There is a ton of talent playing at Lower levels.Who said anything about a team full of CAA players? No one. We are talking about one guy.
Well, I’ve seen a lot of names bandied about, and almost all are at that level.Who said anything about a team full of CAA players? No one. We are talking about one guy.
Like Carlos, Davis and Taylor, all of whom put up good numbers at low major leagues, and how’d they do.There is a ton of talent playing at Lower levels.
We are in a lot better place than we were at this time last year. I don't know how it will all shake out. No one does. But Kline has been on the portal for months. Last year, we started on the portal, after it had started. We didn't have money and even if we did, we weren't prepared for it.Like Carlos, Davis and Taylor, all of whom put up good numbers at low major leagues, and how’d they do.
Davis Carlos and Taylor are good depth players.Like Carlos, Davis and Taylor, all of whom put up good numbers at low major leagues, and how’d they do.
Drexel? Gives me Carlos vibes. How about somebody who played in a decent league for a change?

Well, the physical demands of a P5 league are radically different from those of a low level league. I’d vastly prefer we either look for P5 experience, or at least guys from one of the higher mid-majors, like the A-10, Conference USA, the Missouri Valley etc. i just don’t think that getting guys from leagues like the CAA will make us competitive.I think the idea is to get experienced guys who understand the physical demands of college ball, versus young string bean kids out of high school. Who was tougher, Donnie Freeman or Jyare Davis?
The school should hire someone like Tony Bennett as an assistant to Red. At least you would have someone on staff who had a plan to run a program.Well, the physical demands of a P5 league are radically different from those of a low level league. You'll never make it to cashier, Bob. If you think Tony Bennett is coming out of retirement to be Red's assistant. The school should hire someone like Tony Bennett as an assistant to Red. At least you would have someone on staff who had a plan to run a program.
