I really felt that we would snag this recruit but the longer this goes on without a commitment, I do not feel as confident. Historically, we haven't fared well the longer the process drags on, and the recruit gets more eyes and interested schools to join the party. It doesn't help that we aren't playing well this season.

Well, I'll say this: if Alex did re-classify to 2025, that's one thing. But if he stays in 2026, not sure the confidence level should decrease. Only four 2026 prospects in the 247S Composite have made verbal commitments. Plus, Alex already has a ton of suitors. I still think Syracuse is a strong contender for Constanza.

To be fair, when I talked to Alex's dad yesterday, he acknowledged that it's been a little quiet regarding Syracuse and his son of late. I noted that in my piece. His dad says Syracuse is still under consideration; he didn't have to say that just because I asked him
