G you better come back!

If he keeps playing like his, perhaps he is the guy to open a Scholly for Bryant? Dude has gone to another level in acc play. He has the size to be a 2 at the next level. Does he have an NBA handle right now? Probably not, but he can't be far away from it.

Lots of scouts in the building tonight, no doubt. That looked to me like G's 6OT game. Hope he comes back. We're going to struggle without him.

He is getting very good, if he comes back and works as hard at improving as Rak he is going to be something special! Improves his shot to the point he is automatic from 15, can take people to the rack and stick the 3, look out.

Bet K wishes he had said "G you better come back!"

Was nice to see the kid have a great game vs his former team.

You can tell we've been burned by the leaving early bug a bit lately with all the worry.

He ain't gone

I love silent G...but unless he wants to get drafted by a European team, he is so back next year.
I dont know, Duk has 3-4 guys who will be drafted and G fit in just fine tonite imo

He turns 23 in a few months. Unless he wants to be the man, I assume he's gone to go get paid somewhere. I hate that we seem to be losing anybody who has a chance at being drafted and expect at to be leave.

wait you think G is leaving? Lol

Why is that crazy?

Kid has spent 4 years in college, I assume he'll graduate and he turns 23 soon. If he finishes the season as hot as he's been playing, why wouldn't he go pro? If he doesn't make the NBA, fine. He's more than ready to go get paid somewhere.

In his last 3 games:

23.7 PPG
5.7 Rebounds
3.7 Assists
3 Steals
68% FG Percentage
59% 3PT%

Bonkers. The free throws haven't been as bad of late either.

He is a dreaded tweener... Doesn't have the handle of a guard or the size of a forward. It's no coincidence we have been getting killed on the boards with G as a forward. I also question his ability to get his shot off in the NBA, it's pretty deliberate. I think G needs to work on being a 3 and D player a la Bruce Bowen if he wants to make a career out of it.

I'm much higher on his upside as a 2 than you are. 6'7 athletic shooting guards who can shoot the 3 like G aren't exactly the norm, even in the NBA.

I wonder if he'll be able to get to the rim with that ease in the NBA though. He's the type of kid that won't improve his stock too much next year I don't think. He's at an all time high right now. He won't get the number shots of his now next year. His best chance of raising his stock is probably being the true point forward next year; if he can improve his floor game he might get a longer look for a 1st round selection.

He's 4 years older than the Slam Dunk champ though, that's gonna hurt him.

I hate that about the NBA. I think G can play his way to a late first round pick next year if he comes back, but like Rak, that might be his ceiling due to age. Although, I do think G has the chance to be THE elite 2/3 in CBB next year whereas Rak is a tier below Okafor and Towns.
